Halloween nails - part 3

My last Halloween themed manicure! The cute mummy on the ring finger is inspired by the talented cutepolish. The glitter topper is "PGR 702" by Etude House.
Happy Halloween!

Halloween nails - Part 2

A very simple yet Halloween-ish manicure! I really like how they turned out. It's simple yet festive! I used China Glaze Breakin'.

Halloween nails - part 1

Halloween is just around the corner and what's better to match celebrate this day with ghostly nails?

I really like how the ombré turned out. I used black, dark blue and a baby blue polish. Then i topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust. The orange on the middle finger is Papaya Punch by China Glaze. The owl and pumpkin are hand drawn using acrylic paints.

4 October 2013

Sweet pink nails with leopard prints

A very simple and sweet manicure. The baby pink polish is by Kiko (doesn't have a name) and the silver is Celeb City by Sally Hansen. I topped it off with China Glaze's Fairy Dust.

Seafoam Green Ombre Nails

I finally did the seafoam green ombre nails that was requested by a follower on instagram ages ago! And I'm in love with it! Makes me wanna go for a beach holiday somehow!

Anyway, I painted my nails a coat of white before using make up sponge to do the ombre. This way the colours will be more vibrant! I used silver turquoise green & a dark green for this look. Then I topped of with China Glaze Fairy Dust, always work well with ombre nails!

Stained Glass Nails

Its been so long since I updated my blog! Been so busy with work! :( Anyways, I did stained glass nails! Its super easy to do and definitely looks colourful & exciting!

I used Essie French Affair, P2 Sweet Darling & P2 French Sister.

*** Sorry for the lousy photo quality, I don't know what went wrong. :(

4 September 2013

Black & Pink stripes

A simple and cute nail art design - black & pink stripes! I think this combo has a vintage feel to it! The pink is China Glaze's Something Sweet and I hand painted the black stripes! Then I used Sally Hansen's Celeb City on the curves. The base glittery polish is by Nature Republic.

1 September 2013

China Glaze Peachy Keen & Houndstooth nails

China Glaze's Peachy Keen is one of my favourite orangey coral creme polish. I use it so often that I think I might need another new one! It's one of those colours that mak eyou happy. =D

I've always been a fan of houndstooth pattern and finally I get to do one! I'm pretty pleased with it!

23 August 2013

Catrice Petropolitan

I'm in loved with this gorgeous deep green from Catrice! I love minty greens and I hardly put on dark greens but this!!! I love!!! It has tiny blue-ish sparkles in ot which makes it so pretty! Two coats with no top coat.

Then I added gold chevron tips using Sally Hansen "Golden-I". Total match! :)

19 August 2013

Purple glitter gradient

I have been really busy these days! Sorry for not posting much. Here's a very simple purple glitter gradient nails. I used Essence Ballarina's Charm & The Faceshop PP409.

31 July 2013

More Despicable Me Minion Nails!

These are some pictures of my clients who came to me for Minion nails! Some even came all the way from North! Well, that's love for minions!

29 July 2013

Vertical chevron nails

It's chevron nails again! This time I did vertical chevrons instead of horizontal ones which I think is pretty cool too! I cut little chevron stripes using a patterned art scissor and sticker labels. Labels work better than scotch tape cuz its easier to cut.

I used China Glaze "For Audrey", Essence "L.O.L" and OPI "Designer... De Better" for this mani.

22 July 2013

Hello Kitty Nails

Hello Kitty is one of my favourite cartoon character of all time. Who can resist this cute kitty? Though in real life I'm more of a dog person. =D Anyways, I've been wanting to do a Hello Kitty nail for ages but the "feel" just didn't kick in (if you know what I mean). Finally the "feel" came and I did it! It's kinda tough drawing the kitty to make her look real and not distorted (especially the eyes!). I also painted the bow and some cherries!

I used Essie "Fiji" as the base colour and OPI "Girls Just Want To Play" for the red. The rest are acrylic paints.

18 July 2013

Simple lace nails

Lace nails are pretty but sometimes they can be difficult to do. Here's is a simple way of doing lace nails. Just  paint the tip black and make 3 curves using your nailart brush or dotting tool and dot on tiny dots above them! That's it!

I used OPI "Dim Sum Plum" and The Faceshop "BK901".

14 July 2013

Neon & Glitter

I think it's super cool to pair glitter polish with neons! Here I used Sally Hansen 'Celeb City' with China Glaze 'Flip Flop Fantasy'. I hand painted the black stripes at the french tip and used black striping tape for the chevrons. Striping tapes make everything look neater and polished, and it doesn't require steady hands!

11 July 2013

Watercolour nails

I can say this is by far my favourite mani! Its simple, cool and sophisticated! It looks difficult to do but its really simple! First, I paint my nails with Sally Hansen 'Celeb City' (glittery silver) then i start to dab blue, purple and white randomly on the nails. Top it off with sparkly glitter like China Glaze 'Fairy Dust' and top it off with a fast drying top coat (I used Poshe). You can add rhinestones to glam them up! That's it!

I used Sinful Colors 'Skinny Dipping', 'Pragmatic' and a normal white polish.

9 July 2013

Ombre Net Nails

In love with this mani! I used Essie 'Fiji' and Essence 'Absolutely Blue' for the ombre/gradient and top it off with China Glaze 'Fairy Dust'. Use striping tape to make the net pattern before you sponge the colours on and remove them when you're done! Super easy!

I added small pearls to make them look even daintier!

6 July 2013

Feather nails

This feather mani was nspired by bdettenails on instagram. I always thought feather nails can be a little tricky but they turned out to be really easy and fast! I just use a nail art brush and gently brush on black & white in curves with pointed ends and that's it!

I used P2 'Fresh Sister' and Sally Hansen 'Celeb City' as my accent nail.

4 July 2013

4th of July nails

Although 4th of July has nothing to do with Singapore but it's so popular on instagram that I had to do my version! Instead of stars (which can be difficult to draw), I put polka dots and not forgetting the red & white stripes!

I used Catrice 'Shopping Day at Bloomingdales' and OPI 'Girls Just Want To Play'.

1 July 2013

Army Nails

1st July is Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Day (also known as Army Day) so I did an army uniform inspired mani! It's easy to do and the only tool I used is dotting tool!

PS: Sorry for the reflections from my light!
The colours I used are Kiko '347' (dark green), Love & Beauty 'Mint Menthe' (light green), OPI 'Over The Taupe' and The Faceshop 'BK901' (black).

29 June 2013

Bikini Inspired Nails

I saw this beautiful bikini while reading my magazine and was totally inspired by it! I had to do them right away! It was really easy to do and I'm pretty happy with the results. :) Love this picture of my nails posing with the model. It makes the mani a lot more sense!

I use a black acrylic paint for the lines over white polish and the yellow is "Destination Sunshine" by Essence.

28 June 2013

Man of Steel Nails / Superman Nails

Since I did the Despicable Me mani earlier, I thought I can do a Man of Steel inspired mani! I'm loving the dark shimmery blue 'George Blueney' by Catrice. I hand painted the "S" logo using acrylic paint and it took me so long! Not exactly happy with it but it still look like "S" !

26 June 2013

Despicable Me Nails

Despicable Me 2 is coming to theaters soon so here's my take on the super duper cute minion nails! Makes me happy just by looking at them! I felt like there's gonna be so much attention on my nails! =D

I use a random yellow polish from Elianto and the blue is 'Via Airmail' by Essence. The minions are painted using acrylic paint and grey & white nail polishes.

24 June 2013

Etude House Glitter top coat PBK803

I bought a few glitter top coats from Etude House sometime ago and didn't get to use them on my nails yet. Today I'm running out of time so I wanted to do a fast mani and what's easier then topping your nail colour with some glitters?

There are stripes, squares & hexagon glitters in different size & colour in the clear polish. The colour theme is black, white, pink & silver. It does look a little like those indie polishes which are very popular these days. It all depends on how much glitters you'd like to have on your nails, I had two coats of the glitter polish and I felt it started to look a little "messy". I would say one coat is enough, play with it and place them where you want them to be. By the way, I had Essie "Fiji" as my base colour.

22 June 2013

Sailor Nails

Love this blue polish from Catrice called "Shopping Day at Bloomingdales"! Decided to go with stripes, dots & studs for this mani and it turned out a little of sailor inspired nails!

20 June 2013

Roses & Blings!

As you can see, I'm a little obsessed with China Glaze "Papaya Punch" recently (I used it too in my previous mani too!). It's such a gorgeous orange and so perfect for summer! The roses are hand painted with acrylic paints. Adding rhinestones is another way to jazz up your mani and make them look more sophisticated.

18 June 2013

Chevron Nails

Simple and easy chevrons nails. I used China Glaze "Passion For Petal" and "Papaya Punch" for the chevrons, and OPI "Designer...de Better" on my index and pinky finger.

16 June 2013

When cotton candy meets black & gold......

Black & gold have always been a very nice combo but how about adding them to something more subtle like a light coral/salmon colour? YES!!!

I used "Cotton Candy" from Orly, a black polish from The Faceshop and "Golden-I" from Sally Hansen. Decided to go with a black accent on the ring finger outlined with gold colour to make the mani more outstanding!

14 June 2013

Playing with nail studs

Loving this mani! Studs look so cool on the nails and add some character on them. I used Catrice "Mint Me Up" on my index and pinky and China Glaze "Concrete Catwalk" on my middle & ring fingers.

"Mint Me Up" is such a gorgeous minty green color (thanks to Stefanie!) with tiny gold shimmers and "Concrete Catwalk is a dark grey creme. The square & round studs are both 3mm and I added tiny gold beads to make them look like a chain/necklace.

12 June 2013

Dots & Holo

A very simple mani playing with my dotting tool. I used Color Club "Cosmic Fate" and China Glaze "Below Deck". Love how the holo dots contrast with "Below Deck" !

10 June 2013

Color Club Halo Hues - Cosmic Fate

When Color Club introduced their halo hues collection, I was like "I need to have them!". But sad to say, there's no Color Club nail polishes in Singapore. I managed to get mine from a nail polish supplier that brings in different brands of nail polishes. So happy! This is my first and only bottle of Color Club & also holo polish and I love it!

I bought Cosmic Fate because its so pretty (so were the others!) !!! This is the swatch on my fingers. Its very pigmented and can definitely be a one-coater. Can you tell which of my fingers have two coats and which has one coat? Haha, two coats on my index & pinky and one coat on my middle & ring finger. Although it could be a one-coater but I felt two coats look better! I really like the consistency, its more on the thinner side so its easier to apply. I think it looks great under the sun too but I didn't get to capture that!

8 June 2013

Purple Candy!

This cute candy mani was inspired by the talented kpandaanails on Instagram. I used Purple Reign by Catrice which is a dark purple with shimmers in it and the light pastel purple is Sweet Darling by P2. These two polishes were also sent to me by Lisa from Germany! I had so much fun playing with those new polishes.

I start by painting my middle and ring fingers white then I did the swirls with my tiny brush and top it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust. Love how the Fairy Dust made them looked even more like candy sprinkles!

On a side note, I broke the cap of the Catrice nail polish! I was just merely making sure it was close tightly but it just broke when I used a little bit more force. Has this happened to anyone of you? :(

6 June 2013

Studs & Leopard prints

This is what I came up with while trying Kiko nail polishes that was sent to me from Germany! Got to thank Lisa for sending them to me! I used #387 (teal) and #359 (orange). I love Kiko nail polishes! The consistency is great, not too thin nor too thick. Opacity is good too especially the teal colour. I added round 3mm metal studs to my nails and thought it looked kinda weird so I added the leopard prints and  I really like it!

4 June 2013

Ombre Rose

I'm really into ombre nails recently! They are fun and easy to do and they look pretty too! But yeah, I hate the clean up process. The nail polish remover always dry up my cuticles so be sure to put a lot of cuticle oil/cream afterwards!

Anyways, I did a baby blue & baby pink ombre background using The Faceshop "BL601" and China Glaze "Something Sweet". The roses are hand painted with acrylic paint and I added tiny silver beads on the middle & ring finger to make a heart shape. Initially I wanted to use small crystals but I ran out of them  hence the silver beads.

28 May 2013

Zebra Nails

Oh I'm so in love with this colour from Essie - "In the Cab-ana". Isn't this a gorgeous blue? I added some black stripes and made it zebra print. Really easy and cute! I even had this colour painted on my toe nails! :D

27 May 2013

Green & Blue Dots & Stripes

A very simple nail art with contrasting colours. I used GR701 from Etude House ice cream collection, "Shopping Day at Bloomingdales" by Catrice and "Celeb City" by Sally Hansen.

26 May 2013

Purple Ombre Tribal

My first attempt on tribal nails! I had fun painting them but I have to admit it's tough! My brush wasn't the best but I try my best to make it work. The design was inspired by @coewless on IG.

I used 3 shades of purple: Light (Eleanor "ENP078"), Medium (Sinful Colors "Pragmatic") and a dark purple with glitters (China Glaze "C-C-Courage"). I used acrylic paint for the tribal design and top it off with China Glaze Matte Magic top coat.

25 May 2013

Sugar Skull Nails

Sugar skull nails are so cute! They made the usual scary and cold skulls into something more fun and colourful! And I used fimo canes as my sugar skull eyes (inspired by @nailedbyjasmine on IG). Such a great idea isn't it? My base colour is "Unicorn" by Sinful Colors, the silver is "Celeb City" by Sally Hansen.

22 May 2013

Polka Dots Nail

Ditch the classic one colour polka dots and go with colourful dots! It makes the nails look more fun and vibrant! I used Etude House #OR202 from the ice cream collection as my base colour. Use your favorite colours for the polka dots! I used mostly pastel colours - blue, pink, purple & green.
